  1. Extended Day Programs Update (Mrs. Glover)
 
 
  1. Construction Status Reports for the Aiken High School Phase 2B Addition Project (Dr. Foster)

In an effort to keep the Board current on the status and budget of this school construction project, the Architects for this project, LS3P Associates LTD., and the Administration prepare a monthly status report for the Board’s review.
 
  1. Construction Status Reports for the Ridge Spring-Monetta Middle/High Phase 2 Addition Project (Dr. Foster)

    In an effort to keep the Board current on the status and budget of this school construction project, the Architects for this project, LS3P Associates LTD., and the Administration prepare a monthly status report for the Board’s review.
     
  2. Final Construction Status Reports for the Graniteville Elementary Renovations & Additions Project (Dr. Foster)

In an effort to keep the Board current on the status and budget of this school construction project, the Architects for this project, Goodwyn Mills and Cawood (GMC), and the Administration prepare a monthly status report for the Board’s review.
 
  1. Final Construction Status Reports for the Silver Bluff High Football Stadium Project (Dr. Foster)

    In an effort to keep the Board current on the status and budget of the school construction project, the Architects for this project, McMillan Pazdan Smith Architecture and the Administration prepare a monthly status report for the Board’s review.

     

B.CONSENT ITEMS:  The following items will be voted on as a group.  Individual items may be discussed prior to a vote being taken.
 

  1. Special Education Contracts for FY 19-20 (Mrs. Glover)

    The Department of Special Programs routinely contracts with service providers when unable to hire Aiken County Public School District personnel, or when the services needed are outside the scope of what the School District is able to provide.  These contracted services include, but are not limited to:  speech pathology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, applied behavior therapy. Psycho-educational services, consultation services, Medicaid billing, transportation services, hearing services (including evaluations, interpreters, and accessibility technology), vision services (including evaluations, orientation & mobility services, and accessibility technology), neurological/psychiatric evaluations, and student record services.
     
 
  1. Design Development Drawings/Budget for the Millbrook Elementary Addition Project (Dr. Foster)

    As part of the agreement between the Architects for this project Goodwyn Mills Cawood (GMC) and the administration, the architect shall present the proposed design development plans and budget to the Aiken County School Board for approval.  The design development project budget is $12.5 million.  Goodwyn Mills Cawood (GMC) will provide a revised 3rd party detailed cost estimate and project budget summary to the board on September 10, 2019.  The overall budget has a 5% owner contingency.  The administration is reviewing estimates and minimum scope changes.
     
  2. GMP #1 for North Augusta High School Phase III Additions (Dr. Foster)

H.G. Reynolds Company, Inc. received bids for the Phase 3 building.The original construction budget approved by the board on August 13, 2019 which was the final construction document estimate was $16,625,500.00.The GMP #1 for the Phase III Addition is $16,305,245.00.The budget total needed is $21,005,245.00 or $320,255.00 under the total budget approved originally on August 13, 2019, which includes an owner contingency of 3.5% for the Phase 3 Addition of new gyms, band and chorus building.
 
  1. Design Development Plans for the Ridge Spring-Monetta Elementary School Addition Phase III Project (Dr. Foster)

The administration has completed the scope of educational needs for the Ridge Spring-Monetta Elementary School Addition Phase III Project. The architectural firm of LS3P has utilized this scope to produce design development plans for this school.
 
  1. Change Order Number 5 for the Graniteville Elementary Addition Project (Dr. Foster)

Change Order Number 5 for the Graniteville Elementary Addition from RW Allen Construction, LLC is presented for your review and approval.During final cleaning, the existing door conditions are poor and the administration would like to replace 10 exterior doors and 5 interior doors and repaint.
