  1. Personnel Appointments (Dr. Minolfo)
 
The certified and classified personnel presented have been screened by the Human Resources Department and interviewed, and/or approved by the Principal or Supervisor for each location.
 
 
 
  1. CONSENT ITEMS:   The following items will be voted on as a group, individual items may be discussed prior to a vote being taken.
 
 
  1. Ratification of Expulsions (Dr. Murphy)
 
The School Board, according to the Code of Laws for South Carolina Section
 59-63-240, is authorized to expel students from school. Although the Board may receive recommendations for expulsion from others, it is solely empowered to take the final expulsion action.
 
  1. Out-of-District Transfer Requests – Transfers Out (Dr. Minolfo)
 
Board Policy JFABC allows the Aiken County Board of Education to arrange with other school districts for the interchange of students. The policy stipulates that when students transfer out of the district, “the School District of Aiken County shall assume no responsibility for tuition to the receiving district.”
 
 
  1. The Gifting Tree Foundation, Inc. Donation to Aiken County Career and Technology Center– FY25 (Dr. Edwards)
 
The Aiken County Career and Technology Center School has received a $2,000.00 donation from the Gifting Tree Foundation, Inc. The funds will be used to provide camp supplies and/or general and instructional supplies for student activities during the school year.
 
  1. Funding Flexibility for the Quarter and Year Ending June 30, 2025 (Mr. Traxler)
 
Under provisos 1.21, 1.24 and 1A.14 for Fiscal Year 2024-2025, all school districts and special schools of this state may transfer and expand funds “to ensure the delivery of academic and artis infrastructure to students.” Flexibility guidelines require that each district’s board and superintendent certify the specific flexibility actions taken.
 
 
 
 
 
  1. Items to be Declared Surplus and Method of Disposal (Mr. Traxler)
 
Miscellaneous school furnishings and equipment have been screened and determined to be obsolete and no longer of use to the district. Board approval is requested for the disposal of these items (ACPSD)Procurement Code Article 15 Supply Management Sections 3810 and 3820).
 
 
 
  1. INFORMATIONAL ITEMS: The following items are for information only and do not require Board Action.
 
  1. Design Development Drawings and Budget for the Belvedere Elementary School (Dr. Yarborough)
 
The administration, in conjunction with CFS Architecture, has complete the Design Developments Documents for the Belvedere Elementary School.
 
  1. Schematic Design plans and preliminary budget for the North Augusta High School Auditorium renovation and addition (Dr. Yarborough)
 
The administration has completed the scope of educational needs for the North Augusta High School Auditorium renovation and addition.
 
  1. Schematic Design plans and an estimated budget for the new Athletics Complex at Wagener-Salley High School (Dr. Yarborough)
 
The administration has completed the scope of the athletic and community needs for the new athletics complex at Wagener-Salley High School.
 
  1. Schematic Design Drawings and Budget for the North Augusta Middle School (Dr. Yarborough)
 
The administration, in conjunction with GMC Architecture has completed the Schematic Design Documents for the North Augusta Middle School.
 
  1. Construction Status Reports for the New Aiken County Career and Technology Center Project (Dr. Yarborough)
 
In an effort to keep the Board current on the status and budget of this school construction project, the Architects for this project, Goodwyn Mills and Cawood (GMC), and the Administration prepare a monthly status report for the Board’s review.
 
 
 
 
 
  1. Construction Status Report for the North Augusta High Athletic Fields Phase 4 Project (Dr. Yarborough)
In an effort to keep the Board current on the status and budget of this school construction project, the Architects for this project, McMillan Pazdan Smith Architecture and the Administration prepare a monthly status report for the Board’s review.
 
  1. Monthly Financial Report for the Period Ended March 31, 2025 (Mr. Traxler)
 
The Business Services Department submits monthly financials for Board review. Consideration, and acceptance.
