A. INDIVIDUAL ITEMS:

1. Personnel Appointments (Mrs. Riley)
The administrative, certified and classified personnel presented have been screened by the Human Resources Department, and interviewed, and/or approved by the Principal or supervisor for each location.
B. CONSENT ITEMS: The following items will be voted on as a group; individual items may be discussed prior to a vote being taken.

1. Ratification of Expulsions (Dr. Murphy)
The School Board, according to Code of Laws for South Carolina Section 59-63-240, is authorized to expel students from school. Although the Board may receive recommendations for expulsion from others, it is solely empowered to take the final expulsion action.

2. Release from ACPSD Requests (Mrs. Meek)
Board Policy JFABC allows the Aiken County Board of Education to arrange with other school districts for the interchange of students. The policy stipulates that when students transfer out of the District, “the School District of Aiken County shall assume no responsibility for tuition to the receiving district.”

3. Non-Resident Transfer Requests (Mrs. Meek)
Board Policy JFAB allows the Aiken County Board of Education to arrange with other school districts for the interchange of students. The policy stipulates that nonresident students transfer into the District “the parent/legal guardian must assume responsibility for transportation. The Board will hold nonresident students to the behavioral and academic requirements set out in policy JFAA, admission of resident students. The district may charge tuition to nonresident students seeking to enroll in district schools.”

4. Request to Admit Foreign Exchange Students (Mrs. Meek)
School Board Policy JFABB establishes guidelines for the admission of exchange students to the high schools in the School District of Aiken County.

5. Requests for Proposals for 2026 Annual Contract for Integrated Meeting Management System (Mr. Traxler)
Proposals were sought for a secure and simple digital platform for streaming public meetings. This system would promote transparency and ensure compliance with State law. The deadline for submission was February 10, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Services will be coordinated through the District’s Technology and Communications departments.

6. Requests for Proposals for Generator Maintenance and Repair Services (Mr. Traxler)
Proposals were sought for generator maintenance and repair services throughout the District. The deadline for submission was January 27, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Services will be coordinated through the District’s Maintenance Department.

7. Construction Bids for the 2025-2026 Scrubbing and Coating of Gymnasium Floors (Dr. Yarborough)
Bids for the 2025-2026 Gymnasium Floor Scrubbing and Coating project were received and publicly opened on February 20, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Three companies submitted bids. The Flooring Connection, LLC submitted the lowest responsible and responsive bid. Their prices were $51,607.60 for Base Bid A (scrubbing and coating 15 schools) and $39,579.0 for Base Bid B (scrubbing and coating high schools), for a combined total of $91,187.30. Funding for these projects is included in the 2025-2026 Five-Year Facility Improvement Plan.

8. 2025-2026 Painting of Greendale Elementary School (Dr. Yarborough)
Bids for the 2025-2026 painting of Greendale Elementary School were received and publicly opened on February 19, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Five companies submitted bids. MAR Construction provided the lowest responsible and responsive bid in the amount of $134,490.00. Funding for this project is included in the 2025-2026 Five-Year Facility Improvement Plan.
C. INFORMATIONAL ITEMS: The following items are for information only and do not require Board Action.

1. Construction Status Reports for the New Aiken County Career and Technology Center Project (Dr. Yarborough)
In an effort to keep the Board current on the status and budget of this school construction project, the Architects for this project, Goodwyn Mills and Cawood (GMC), and the Administration prepare a monthly status report for the Board’s review.

2. Construction Status Reports for the J.D. Lever Multipurpose Room Building (Dr. Yarborough)
In an effort to keep the Board current on the status and budget of this school construction project, the Architects for this project, Method Works (MW), and the Administration prepare a monthly status report for the Board’s review.

3. Monthly Financial Report for the Period Ended December 31, 2025 (Mr. Traxler)
The Business Services Department submits monthly financials for Board review, consideration, and acceptance.
