A. INDIVIDUAL ITEMS: The following items are for information only and do not require Board Action

1. Personnel Appointments (Sal Minolfo)
The administrative, certified and classified personnel presented have been screened by the Human Resources Department, and interviewed, and/or approved by the Principal or supervisor for each location.
B. CONSENT ITEMS:

1. Ratification of Expulsions (Dr. Murphy)
The School Board, according to the Code of Laws for South Carolina Section 59-63-240, is authorized to expel students from school. Although the Board may receive recommendations for expulsion from others, it is solely empowered to take the final expulsion action.

2. Out of District Transfers – Transfers Out (Mrs. Meek)
Board Policy JFABC allows the Aiken County Board of Education to arrange with other school districts for the interchange of students. The policy stipulates that when students transfer out of the District, “the School District of Aiken County shall resume no responsibility for tuition to the receiving district.”

3. Out of District Transfer Requests – Transfers In (Mrs. Meek)
Board Policy JFAB allows the Aiken County Board of Education to arrange with other school districts for the interchange of students. The policy stipulates that nonresident students transfer into the District “the parent/legal guardian must assume responsibility for transportation. The Board will hold nonresident students to the behavioral and academic requirements set out in policy JFAA, admission of resident students. The district may charge tuition to nonresident students seeking to enroll in district schools.”

4. Request to Admit Foreign Exchange Students (Mrs. Meek)
School Board Policy JFABB establishes guidelines for the admission of exchange students to the high schools in the School District of Aiken County.

5. Construction documents (CD) and guaranteed maximum price (GMP) for the Ridge Spring-Monetta Auxiliary Gymnasium (Dr. Yarborough)
The administration has completed the scope for the Ridge Spring-Monetta Auxiliary Gymnasium. The architectural firm LS3P has utilized this scope to produce construction documents and the guaranteed maximum price GMP for the project. The construction budget is $9,720,610. The overall budget includes GMP, design, advertising, FFE, and owner contingency for a total budget of $11,225,715. The scope of work would be the building of an auxiliary gymnasium, physical education space, and support space. The project will be completed using 2014 1% funds.

6. Change Order Number 1 – Aiken County Public Schools – Football Field Lighting Replacement at North Augusta, Silver Bluff, Midland Valley, and Aiken High (Dr. Yarborough)
Change Order Number 1 reflects unused allowances for the Aiken County Public Schools- Football Field Lighting Replacement at North Augusta, Silver Bluff, Midland Valley, and Aiken High.

C. INFORMATIONAL ITEMS: The following items will be voted on as a group; individual items may be discussed prior to a vote being taken.

1. Facilities Construction Department Quarterly Change Order Notification (Dr. Yarborough)
Procurement Policies sets the limit of approval for construction change orders by the Superintendent or designee up to $15,000.00. The policy requires a summary of such change orders to be presented to the Board at least once a quarter for notification.

2. Construction Status Reports for the J.D. Lever Multipurpose Room Building (Dr. Yarborough)
In an effort to keep the Board current on the status and budget of this school construction project, the architects for this project, Method Works (MW), and the Administration prepare a monthly status report for the Board’s review.

3. Construction Status Reports for the New Aiken County Career and Technology Center Project (Dr. Yarborough)
In an effort to keep the Board current on the status and budget of this school construction project, the architects for this project, Goodwyn Mills and Cawood (GMC), and the Administration prepare a monthly status report for the Board’s review.

4. Monthly Financial Report for the Period Ended October 31, 2025
The Business Services Department submits monthly financials for Board review, consideration, and acceptance.
