- School Spotlight – Graniteville Elementary

- Construction Status Reports for the Midland Valley High Addition Renovation Project (Dr. Foster)
In an effort to keep the Board current on the status and budget of this school construction project, the Architects for this project, McMillan Pazdan Smith Architecture and the Administration prepare a monthly status report for the Board’s review.

In an effort to keep the Board current on the status and budget of this school construction project, the Architects for this project, McMillan Pazdan Smith Architecture and the Administration prepare a monthly status report for the Board’s review.
- Construction Status Reports for the Aiken High School Phase 3 James Taylor Gymnasium Renovation Project (Dr. Foster)
In an effort to keep the board current on the status and budget of this school construction project, the Architects for this project, LS3P Associates LTD., and the Administration prepare a monthly status report for the Board’s review.
- Construction Status Reports for the Ridge Spring-Monetta Middle/High Phase 2 Addition Project (Dr. Foster)
In an effort to keep the Board current on the status and budget of this school construction project, the Architects for this project, LS3P Associates LTD., and the Administration prepare a monthly status report for the Board’s review.
B.CONSENT ITEMS: The following items will be voted on as a group. Individual items may be discussed prior to a vote being taken.
- Proposed 2020-2021 Budget Calendar (Mr. Traxler)
Board Policy DBG requires that the Aiken County Board of Education adopt a budget calendar by November 1 each year.
- South Carolina Arts Commission – Arts in Basic Curriculum Grant Award – East Aiken School of the Arts – FY20 (Mrs. Glover)
East Aiken School of the Arts has been awarded a South Carolina Arts Commission for the Arts in Basic Curriculum Grant in the amount of $10,867.00.The monies will be used to fund substitute teachers for arts teachers to conduct strategic planning to implement arts integration strategies across all grade levels, supplies and materials for theatre, music, dance, and visual arts, artists-in-residence instruction, and informal and formal performances.
- Bridgestone Donation for Robotics to Leavelle-McCampbell Middle School – FY20 (Mrs. Glover)
Leavelle-McCampbell Middle School was given a $1,400.00 donation from Bridgestone.The funds from this donation will be used to fund a robotics team set-up and competition.
- The Gifting Tree Donation to Leavelle-McCampbell Middle School – FY20 (Mrs. Glover)
Leavelle-McCampbell Middle School was given a $1,000.00 donation from the The Gifting Tree. The funds from this donation will be used to purchase a musical script along with material and supplies for a school musical.
