2. Financial Report as of December 31, 2017 (Mr. Traxler)
The financial report of December 31, 2017 is submitted in the approved
format.
- CONSENT ITEMS: The following items will be voted on as a group. Individual items may be discussed prior to a vote being taken.
1. Submission of the USDA Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program Grant – FY19 (Mr. Traxler)
The USDA Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program provides all children in participating schools with a variety of free fresh fruit and vegetables throughout the school day. It is an effective and creative way of introducing fresh fruits and vegetables as healthy snack options. The FFVP also encourages the education of families and partnerships with members of the community as an overall way of increasing the health and wellness of both students and those in the community in which they live. The School Food Service Department is requesting to submit the $154,900.00 grant application for USDA Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program on behalf of the following schools:
- J.D. Lever Elementary $29,200.00
- Oakwood-Windsor Elementary $20,050.00
- North Aiken Elementary $23,050.00
- Clearwater Elementary $23,600.00
- Gloverville Elementary $16,850.00
- Ridge Spring-Monetta El. $20,700.00
- Greendale Elementary $21,450.00
2. Proposed Schedule of School Board Meetings, 2018-2019 (Dr. Alford)
The School Board has historically scheduled its regular sessions on the second and fourth Tuesday evenings of the month. Executive sessions have been held, as needed, on these same dates.
