The certified and classified personnel presented have been screened by the Human Resources Department and interviewed, and/or approved by the Principal or Supervisor for each location.
- CONSENT ITEMS: The following items will be voted on as a group, individual items may be discussed prior to a vote being taken.
- Ratification of Expulsions (Dr. Murphy)
The School Board, according to the Code of Laws for South Carolina Section
59-63-240, is authorized to expel students from school. Although the Board may receive recommendations for expulsion from others, it is solely empowered to take the final expulsion action.
- Out-of-District Transfer Requests (Dr. Minolfo)
Board Policy JFABC allows the Aiken County Board of Education to arrange with other school districts for the interchange of students. The policy stipulates that when students transfer out of the District, “the School District of Aiken County shall assume no responsibility for tuition to the receiving district.”
- Public Education Partners (PEP) of Aiken County Grant Awards to the Aiken County Public School District – FY25 (Dr. Edwards)
The Aiken County Public School District has been given $5,316.75 in grant awards from the Public Education Partners (PEP) of Aiken County. The funds available will be used to fund 12 teachers grant awards.
- Items to be Declared Surplus and Method of Disposal (Mr. Traxler)
Miscellaneous school furnishings and equipment have been screened and determined to be obsolete and no longer of use to the District. Board approval is requested for the disposal of these items (ACPSD Procurement Code Article 15 Supply Management Sections 3810 and 3820)
- Change Order #1 for the Wagener-Salley High School Foundations and Steel GMP #2 (Dr. Yarborough)
The Shared Savings Credit for GMP #2 related to the Wagener-Salley High School Foundations and Steel package amounts to $638,062.82.
- Request for Proposals for 2025 Annual Contract for Fire Alarm Systems Inspections, Testing, Repairs, Security System Repairs, Intercom Systems Repairs, Data Systems, Access Controls, Camera Systems, and Installs for Aiken County Public Schools (Dr. Yarborough)
Proposals for the 2025 Annual Contract for Fire Alarm Systems Inspections, Testing, Repairs, Security System Repairs, Intercom System repairs, Data Systems Access Controls, Camera Systems, and Installations for ACPS Schools were received on December 19, 2024, at 2:00 p.m.

- Monthly Financial Report for the Period Ended October 31, 2024 (Mr. Traxler)
The Business Services Department submits monthly financials for Board review, consideration, and acceptance.

The Business Services Department submits monthly financials for Board Review, consideration, and acceptance.
- Semi-Annual Update on Minority Business Enterprise Utilization Plan for Fiscal Year Ending June 30, 2025 (Mr. Traxler)
The District’s Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) Utilization Plan, adopted in accordance with the South Carolina Consolidated Procurement Code requires semi-annual reporting in January and July. The plan must be updated annually for any changes no later than July 30.
