2.         Construction Status Reports for the North Augusta High School 2B Addition Project (Dr.Foster)
 
   In an effort to keep the Board current on the status and budget of this school construction project, the Architects for this project, McMillan Pazdan Smith Architecture and the Administration prepare a monthly status report for the Board’s review.
 
 
3.         Construction Status Reports for the Aiken High School Phase 2B Addition Project (Dr. Foster)
 
            In an effort to keep the Board current on the status and budget of this school construction project, the Architects for this project, LS3P Associates LTD., and the Administration prepare a monthly status report for the Board’s review.
 
 
4.         Construction Status Reports for the New Aiken County Adult Education Center (Midland Valley Adult Education) Project (Dr. Foster)
 
            In an effort to keep the Board current on the status and budget of this school construction project, the Architects for this project, McMillan Pazdan Smith Architecture and the Administration prepare a monthly status report for the Board’s review.

  1. CONSENT ITEMS:  The following items will be voted on as a group.  Individual items may be discussed prior to a vote being taken.
 
 
  1. Submission of the Project Lead The Way Gateway Grant for Langley Bath Clearwater Middle School – FY10/FY20 (Mrs. Glover)
 
The Project Lead The Way (PLTW) Gateway Program awards middle schools nationwide the opportunity to apply for a two-year grant to support the implementation of PLTW’s Gateway Introduction to Computer Science units.  Their goal is to ensure that students have access to the computer science curriculum and skills that they need to succeed in our rapidly advancing, technology-based economy.  This grant opportunity will expose students at Langley Bath Clearwater Middle School to curriculum-based, project-based learning and will assist in strengthening critical thinking skills that are crucial to success in today’s college and career arenas.  Grant funds in the amount of $15,000 will be used for PLTW participation fees, core training and related expenses, required technology for the program, instructional supplies, and equipment for each unit.  The funds will be distributed as follows:  $10,000 for 2018-2019; $5,000 for 2019-2020.
 
 
  1. Gloverville First Baptist Church Donation to Gloverville Elementary School-FY19 (Mrs. Glover)
 
Gloverville Elementary School was given a $1,008.00 donation from
Gloverville First Baptist Church.  The funds from this donation will be used
to purchase classroom supplies and student incentives.
 
 
  1. Anonymous Donation to East Aiken School of the Arts – FY19 (Mrs. Glover)
 
East Aiken School of the Arts was given a donation of $2000.00 from an
Anonymous donor.  The funds from this donation will be used for student
Scholar4ships for after school instruction for strings, guitar, and piano.

 The certified and classified personnel presented have been screened by the Personnel Services Department and interviewed and approved by the Principals and Executive Directors.
 
 
 
 
 
 
  1. Policy Changes Related to the Expiration of the Teacher and Employee Retention Incentive (TERI) Program (GCEC,GCF,GCFB,GDF) – First Reading (Mr. Laurence)
 
The South Carolina Teacher and Employee Retention Incentive (TERI)
Program ended as of June 30, 2018.  Many current policies refer to the TERI Program.
