A. INDIVIDUAL ITEMS
- Personnel Appointments (Dr. Minolfo)
The administrative, certified and classified personnel presented have been screened by the Human Resources Department, and interviewed, and/or approved by the Principal or supervisor for each location.
- Budget Amendment 2024-2025 for Funds #2,3,8 and 9 (Mr. Traxler)
B. CONSENT ITEMS: The following items will be voted on as a group, individual items may be discussed prior to a vote being taken.
- Request to Admit Foreign Exchange Students (Dr. Minolfo)
School Board Policy JFABB establishes guidelines for the admission of exchange students to the high schools in the School District of Aiken County.
- Young Kappa Foundation Scholarship Donation to Aiken High School – FY25
(Dr. Edwards)
Aiken High School received a $1,500.00 donation from the Young KAPPA Foundation. The funds will be used to provide a memorial scholarship award in honor of Ervin L. Baxter to graduating seniors.
- Caroline McKie Memorial Scholarship Fund Donation to Aiken High School – FY25 (Dr. Edwards)
Aiken High School has been given a $4,000.00 donation through the Caroline McKie Memorial Scholarship Fund. The funds will be used to provide scholarship awards to graduating seniors.
- Credit change order number 1 for the new Wagener- Salley High School Project- Main Building Package GMP #3 (Dr. Yarborough)
Shared savings credit for the GMP #3 Man Building Package project is <$424,677.83>.
- Request for Proposals for FY 2026 Annual Contract for K-12 Educational Artificial Intelligence Platform for Aiken County Public Schools (Dr. Edwards)
Proposals for the FY 2026 Annual Contract for K-12 Education Artificial Intelligence Platform for Aiken County Public Schools were received on June 24, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. Programs are needed throughout the district and will be coordinated through the District’s Instructional Services Division. After evaluating the proposals, the Selection Committee believes the District would be best served by selecting three companies: Magic School, Khan Academy, & Brisk Labs Corp.
These companies will be utilized in different capacities as needed throughout the District.
- Request for Proposals for FY 2026 Annual Contract for Progress Monitoring and Data Tracking Software Platform for Aiken County Public Schools (Dr. Edwards)
Proposals for the FY 2026 Annual Contract for K-12 Supplemental E-Learning for Reading(ELA), Social Studies, Math & Science for Aiken County Public Schools were received on June 24, 2025, at 2:00 p.m.Programs are needed throughout the district and will be coordinated through the District’s Instructional Services Division. After evaluating the proposals, the Selection Committee believes the District would be best served by selecting six companies: Progress Learning, Curriculum Associates, PowerSchool, ReThinkEd, LinkIt!, & Renaissance.
These companies will be utilized in different capacities as needed throughout the District.
- Request for Proposals for FY 2026 Annual Contract for K-12 Supplemental E- Learning for Reading (ELA), Social Studies, Math & Science for Aiken County Public Schools

Proposals for the FY 2026 Annual Contract for K-12 Supplemental E-Learning for Reading (ELA), Social Studies, Math & Science for Aiken County Public Schools were received on June 24, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. Programs are needed throughout the district and will be coordinated through the District’s Instructional Services Division. There were 33 vendors who submitted proposals as part of this RFP. After evaluating the proposals, the Selection Committee believes the District would be best served by selecting 26 companies: Heinemann, McGraw Hill, Brain Pop, iXL Learning, Explore Learning, Learning A-Z, Read Theory, Wilson Learning, Derivita, Progress Learning, EPS Learning, Digital Theater, HMH, Savvas, Try Once, Heggerty, Studies Weekly, Edmentum, Kahoot!, NoREDInk, ReThinkEd, Renaissance, Classworks, NewsELA, Imagine Learning, & Continental Press.
These companies will be utilized in different capacities as needed throughout the District.
- Request for Proposals for FY 2026 Annual Contract for Roofing Maintenance, Repair and Replacement for Aiken County Public Schools (Dr. Yarborough)
Proposals for the FY 2026 Annual Contract for Roofing Maintenance, Repair and Replacement were received June 10,2025, at 2:00 p.m. Programs are needed throughout the district and will be coordinated through the District’s Instructional Services Division. After evaluating the proposals, the Selection Committee believes the District would be best served by selecting four companies: Lloyd Roofing Company, Rike Roofing Company, Roofing Professionals (RPI) and Southern Roofing Company.
These companies will be utilized in different capacities as needed throughout the District.
C.INFORMATIONAL ITEMS: The following items are for information only and do not require Board Action.
- Facilities Construction Department Quarterly Change Order Notification (Dr. Yarborough)
Policy FGG sets the limit of approval for construction change orders by the Superintendent or designee up to $15,000.00. The policy required a summary of such change orders to be presented to the Board at least once a quarter for notification.
- Construction Status Reports for the New Aiken County Career and Technology Center project (Dr. Yarborough)
In an effort to keep the Board current on the status and budget of this school construction project, the Architects for this project, Goodwyn Mills and Cawood (GMC), and the Administration prepare a monthly status report for the Board’s review.
